Aviation Technical Services MLO Lead Mechanic VIP-IN in Moses Lake, Washington
SUMMARY:The Lead Mechanic oversees the maintenance tasks in the service, repair, and overhaul of aircraft to insure airworthiness. Ensures timely completion of tasks and provides training and mentorship for an assigned function area. Assists with Maintenance Supervisor responsibilities for short periods of time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures all tasks are promptly completed in compliance with federal regulations, customer guidelines and company policies.
Reviews required customer and FAA paperwork to ensure proper maintenance updates and compliance with applicable regulations and customer requirements.
Leads the maintenance, preventative maintenance, or alteration of, or approve and return to service, any aircraft, or part thereof, only for which that Lead is rated and has satisfactorily performed the work concerned at an earlier date.
Performs maintenance tasks as required and becomes an active member of the crew.
Conducts crew meetings to ensure communication regarding work, safety, and quality.
Uses technical data to order parts and ensure material is effective for aircraft being installed on. Ensures all parts for specialty area are ordered in a timely manner.
Ensures Engineering is submitted in timely manner as needed.
Responsible for keeping all assigned areas clean and audit ready. Identifies and eliminates hazards that pose a risk to employee safety and quality of work. Ensures compliance with safety requirements.
Responsible for on-time delivery in assigned skill set in coordination with other skill sets.
