SUMMARY: Service, repair and overhaul aircraftFlight Controls and Systemsto ensure airworthiness. Works under minimal supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Remove and Install flight control surfaces and components.
Perform weight and balance including calculation of flight control surfaces.
Perform rigging and operational test of all flight control surfaces including autopilot.
Troubleshoot flight control systems.
Rig landing and operational test gear systems and engine systems.
Trouble shoot landing gear, engines, hydraulic and air-conditioning systems.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Airframe and/or Powerplant License preferred.
Minimum 2 years of related aircraft experience; or three years as a general mechanic.
PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee will also be required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Compensation
The base salary for this position is $21.50 – $33.00 (expressed as hourly for non-exempt), exclusive of benefits or potential bonuses. This position is eligible for a quarterly corporate bonus. If you are hired at ATS, your final base hourly rate will be based on factors such as skills, education and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range noted above is the full base hourly range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a generous benefits package, as detailed below.
