Job Description: Overview: The Maintenance & FacilitiesSupervisor will be responsible for leading, developing, implementing, monitoring, evaluating, and supervising the operations, staff, and activities of maintenance and facilities personnel. This includes defining and improving maintenance and equipment standards, processes, specifications, and other technical data necessary to meet cost efficient and effective manufacturing requirements. Responsibilities: Oversee day-to day operation, maintenance and repair for all building systems and equipment. This includes manufacturing equipment, critical facility systems; i.e. plant air and fire, electrical systems, plumbing, light construction, Tool Crib, custodial, groundskeeping, and snow removal crews. Ensures Maintenance and Facilities team members follow company policies, procedures, work instructions, documented systems, and regulatory requirements; including but not limited to all safety, health and environmental regulations and requirements. Interviews, hires, trains, plans, assigns, and directs work. Appraises performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees, addressing complaints & resolving problems.Monitors work in progress to ensure that delays are minimal, and the quality of the work is acceptable Implements plans to develop subordinates and improve the technical skill level of the maintenance and facilities team Maintains a high level of awareness of operational, financial, compliance, safety, and human resource related performance objectives Collaborates with other departments to identify, define, and establish process stability and improvements.Review and analysis of proposed machinery, equipment, and facilities systems. Analyzes operating characteristics, reliability, and cost-of-maintenance. Receives feedback from maintenance and facilities team and communicates problems and improvement opportunities to Maintenance Manager and affected departments. Assigns team members to preventative maintenance and total preventative maintenance activities. Perform as a project manager in the completion of assigned projects. Delegates, assigns, and schedules projects for maintenance and facility team members. Ensure maintenance and facilities team members are entering daily entries for completed work into CMMS system, performing daily 5's, and other administrative daily duties. Requests, schedules, and oversees the activities of various contractors working throughout the facility Occasionally validates inventory levels and orders parts when necessary. Required Qualifications: Minimum 3-5years of experiencein a maintenance/facilities technical role. Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical abilities. Effective, related computer skills and technical background. Proven strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with ability to interact with all levels of employees and customers. Ability to sit, stand and/or walk for 10+ hours per day Sits at computer terminal, uses computer for extended periods of time Preferred Qualifications: Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or related degree Experience implementing Preventative Maintenance systems in the manufacturing industry 1-3 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably over a maintenance/facilities team. Significant experience in a position maintaining process equipment, machinery, tools, and facilities systems. Knowledge and functional experience in implementing and managing a total predictive maintenance program. Knowledge of and use of Lean Principles, continuous improvement, process management, root causeanalysis. Familiarity with commercial construction, building and fire system codes.
