Aerotek HIRING IMMEDIATELY QA INSPECTOR in Moses Lake, Washington

Description:

  1. Sampling, weighing, thawing, grading and recording samples of product. Using scales, recognizing and separation of defects, tasting product. Need to have working knowledge of pounds, ounces, kilograms, grams, linear measurements and basic mathematics.
  2. Tracking of totes, understanding of resource and application, recording inventory, understand USDA grade charts and buyer specifications.
  3. Temperature and peroxidase testing, pesticide and 10 oz. sampling.
  4. Using shearpress operation, running machine, recording tenderometer reading. Various testing on each load including, split checks, brine check, pea waste check. Recording results of tests and load results.
  5. Basic computer skills and knowledge.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. STRENGTH – Lift 25 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  2. STAND/WALK – Stand and walk a maximum of 3 hours prior to each break period.
  3. CLIMB/BALANCE – Ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding and the like using the feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow or slippery surfaces.
  4. REACH – Extend both hands and arms in any direction.
  5. HANDLE – Seize, hold, grasp, turn or otherwise work with the hands.
  6. SEE – Color vision – able to identify and distinguish colors. Depth perception – able to judge distance and space relationships so as to see objects where and as they actually are.
  7. TWIST AND TURN – Able to twist/turn trunk of body from side to side.
  8. STOOP – Bend the body downward and forward by bending the spine at the waist.
  9. KNEEL – Bend the legs at the knees to come to rest on the knee or knees.
  10. CROUCH – Bend the body downward and forward bending the spine and legs.
  11. FINGER – Pinch, pick or otherwise work with the fingers primarily rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling.
  12. FEEL – Perceive such attributes of objects and materials as size, shape, or texture by means of receptors in the skin, particularly those of the fingers.
