Confidential Welder/Fabricator in Monroe, Washington

Bricking Solutions is a custom aluminum manufacturing plant that produces industrial equipment. We are looking for a MIG welder / fabricator to join our team in Monroe, WA.

Day Shift: Monday-Thursday 7am -- 5:30pm or Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm

40 Hours a week Full Time

[JOB SUMMARY]{.underline}

Working knowledge of MIG aluminum welding to fabricate components and assemblies.

[ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES]{.underline}

  • Executes MIG welds on aluminum and mild steel; thicknesses from .080-.750
  • Performs welding jobs by following job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Ensures equipment remains operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Ability to adjust the welding machine for different materials and thickness.
  • Read and interpret shop drawings to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, machining methods and sequences
  • Trace patterns and perform layout mathematics
  • Experience with various hand tools (Power tools, drills, tape measure, level, forklift)
  • Fabricator will be expected to run all aspects of the shop and provide flexible and quick turn service
  • Plans stock inventory by checking stock to determine amount available; anticipating needed stock; verifying receipt of stock
  • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; notifying management of needed repair

[QUALIFICATIONS]{.underline}

  • Aluminum welding experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years of welding experience.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, simple drawings. Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, to express needs and ask questions.
  • Strong math and geometry mindset; must be able to read a tape measure and have 3-dimensional pattern visualization.
  • Knowledge of common tooling
  • Must be detail oriented and have precise cutting skills
  • Forklift certified a plus
  • High school diploma or GED

  • An employee is sometimes required to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. An employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds and sometimes lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push and/or pull (sometimes weight of up to 50-100 pounds)
  • Required to stand for long periods of time.
  • Repeatedly bend, stoop, squat, kneel, grasp & reach overhead or outward
  • Often exposed to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles
