Job Title: CMM Inspector

Job Description

The CMM Inspector inspects machined components, sheet metal components, purchased products and standards, raw materials, assembled products, and outside processing for conformance to engineering drawings and specifications. This position provides leadership and training for other CMM inspectors.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret aerospace manufacturing drawings, including tolerances, customer specifications, and technical requirements.

  • Operate CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) to dimensionally inspect products.

  • Manually inspect parts using CMM.

  • Interpret CMM results to accurately compare products to engineering drawings/specifications and electronic models.

  • Create and edit CMM programs in both online and offline modes.

  • Accurately compare products to engineering drawings/specifications, purchase orders, and manufacturing orders using common manual inspection equipment (e.g., PCM’s, height gage, dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, protractors, profilometers, bore gauges, etc.) to accept or reject products according to customer engineering requirements.

  • Document product acceptance/rejection on manufacturing orders, process any necessary rejection documentation, and perform various MRP system functions.

  • Perform Rockwell and Eddy Current testing for product acceptance.

Essential Skills

  • A minimum of 10 years of hands-on inspection experience operating a CMM in a regulated industry.

  • Three to five years of recent inspection experience operating a CMM in the aerospace industry.

  • Certification in Advanced Level CAD systems (CATIA and AutoCAD).

  • Leadership experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of CMM inspection experience in an aerospace environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Monroe, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
