Job Description: Title: Velocity Manager Reports to: Global VP Sales Transformation & Operations Location: Bothell, WA Travel: 20% About the Position: Role Overview: The Velocity Manager is a critical role that owns on-time delivery (OTD) of machines across the Genie organization. This position requires a strong analytical mindset to evaluate order, manufacturing and logistics data, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions that drive efficiency and meet or exceed customer delivery expectations. The Velocity Manager will also lead and support North American throughput calls, hold teams accountable for timely updates, and support global teams to align and achieve monthly and quarterly delivery objectives. Key Responsibilities: Ownership of On-Time Delivery (OTD): Fully responsible for meeting and maintaining the on-time delivery targets for the organization. Continuously monitor OTD performance, implement corrective actions, and drive improvements to meet customer expectations. Data Analysis and Issue Resolution: Analyze manufacturing and throughput data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and issues that could impact the achievement of target OTD. Proactively work to remove barriers and implement solutions to improve throughput and delivery timelines. Leadership of Throughput Calls: Own and lead the North America (NA) Throughput Call, ensuring that all relevant data, updates, and action items are discussed and addressed prior to each call. Support Global Throughput Calls by providing insights, updates, and recommendations based on data analysis and regional performance. Accountability and Team Collaboration: Hold cross-functional teams accountable for providing accurate and timely updates on actions that support monthly and quarterly delivery needs. Collaborate with teams across manufacturing, supply chain, logistics and operations to ensure alignment and focus on achieving OTD targets. Process Improvement and Best Practices: Continuously evaluate and improve existing processes to enhance throughput and efficiency. Share best practices and work closely with global teams to implement strategies that improve overall manufacturing performance. Reporting and Communication: Provide regular updates and reports on throughput and OTD performance to senior management. Ensure clear communication of expectations, progress, and challenges to all relevant stakeholders. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, customer service, project management or a related field, with a strong focus on throughput optimization and on-time delivery. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in relevant software and tools for data analysis, project management, and communication (e.g., ERP systems (preferred), Excel, etc.). Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues. Action oriented, quickly and decisively takes action in fast-changing, dynamic environment. Proven track record of breaking down and solving complex problems with sound business judgment and able to distil complex issues into structured frameworks and concrete action plans.
