Job Summary

Under supervision, supports daily operations for clients’ plans and their participants. Will work directly with the Senior Consultants on those clients and as part of a larger team to ensure general operations are running smoothly. Analysts oversee daily activity such as investing payroll contributions, determining participant eligibility for benefits, processing requests for withdrawal and any other activity that the client and their participants may need. Guidance is provided to perform varied work that is difficult in nature requiring evaluation, originality, and ingenuity to make moderately complex decisions.

Retirement Plan Analyst who after successfully completing in office training will have the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule as agreed upon with their manager. The right candidate must live within commuting distance of the office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage retirement plan cash flow

  • Monitor and analyze daily transactions and data collection

  • Handle benefit payment requests with accuracy

  • Respond accurately to phone and email inquiries in a professional and courteous manner

  • Discuss retirement plan features with clients and their employees

Knowledge of

  • Communicating effectively, both orally and in writing

  • Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications, including Microsoft Office and established databases

  • Team player that can also be an independent contributor

  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills sufficient to recognize and detect errors and offer resolution.

  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing to all level of associates and clients.

  • Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce documents such as reports, graphics, electronic communication, spreadsheets, and databases.

Ability to

  • Analyze retirement plan cash flow

  • Multi-task and work on a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Efficiently manage time and resources in order to overcome quantitative and analytical challenges as they arise.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.

  • Work under stress created by time deadlines and work volume fluctuations.

  • Prepare and deliver clear, effective and professional presentations.

  • Communicate both orally and in writing, with all levels of the organization and external clients.

  • Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or other technical major
