Job Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) has the primary responsibility of achieving the sales plan, protecting current product lines and market share, and winning new business opportunities within an assigned territory. As the primary face to the customer, the RSM plays a significant role in determining company strategies to optimize current and future business opportunities. The RSM is also expected to drive and support their network of channel partners in the region with a focus on new business leads generation, development and closing qualified opportunities.
Essential Functions:
Develop and exceed the bookings plan for assigned territory; Identify and communicate new opportunities; Monitoring market and technology trends; Assist in establishing strategies and executing plans to ensure customer satisfaction
Develop, communicate and execute key customer strategies that will lead to profitable growth and improved customer satisfaction.
Lead and support their channel partner network in the region. Hold them accountable to channel KPI’s with a focus on new business generation.
Accountable for the bookings forecast and company Sales metrics for the assigned region. Ensure the CRM database is kept up to date at all times. Work closely with the demand management teams to support the revenue outlook definition and fill requirements.
Define customer’s requirements for Crane Aerospace & Electronics products, support the group in acquiring and monitoring competitor intelligence, and preparing capture plans, market analysis, and customer briefings
Act effectively as the customer champion and advocate within Crane Aerospace & Electronics; Establish and maintain strong relationships at all levels within the customer organization.
Capture and communicate the VoC within the company. Drive the organization to respond to and resolve customer issues in a timely proactive manner; Focus the company on sustaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Provide timely support in resolving customer issues and responding to customer requests. Facilitate efficient communication and mediate customer disputes.
Champion Crane Aerospace & Electronics vision and initiatives to customers and solicit their feedback and support
Any other task assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience in regional sales management, channel partner management, consultative selling and a proven track record in negotiating and closing sales pursuits.
Education/Certification: BA or BS or Technical degree or equivalent
Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated ability to form and maintain good relationships with Customer Representatives at all levels; Ability to form and maintain good internal customer relationships; Successful history in identifying, targeting, negotiating and winning profitable business; Analytical skills and disciplines in support of market analysis, business planning, customer / competitor analysis; Demonstrated proficiency in relationship management and conflict resolution; Ability to develop and present proposals to the customer
Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Power electronics for Defense, Space or Commercial Aerospace markets.
Working Conditions:

Work requires substantial visual concentration on detail
Office working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
On site manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE
Office workers may be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes
Requires regular travel (about 50% of the time) to meet with customers, channel partners, visit Crane Aerospace & Electronics’ business sites, attend conferences, seminars and trade shows.

Top Benefits:
Salary range: $91,100.00 to $172,100.00. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
