Case Manager for Mental Health – Posting #25667

Hourly Rate: $19.25

Position Summary:

Full-time position available for the Behavioral Health Program in Lynwood. This position does not require work in multiple locations, but some work in the community may be required.

The Case Manager will be working with a team of 5 professionals in the delivery of New Journeys First Episode Psychosis (FEP) evidence based early intervention treatment. Position functions to provide expertise about the recovery process, symptom management, and the persistence required to encourage clients to have a satisfying life. They collaborate to promote a team culture that recognizes, understands, and respects each client's point of view, experiences and preferences. They are responsible to maximize client choice, self-determination and decision making in the planning, delivery and evaluation of treatment, rehabilitation and support services. Provides peer counseling and/or intensive case management for New Journeys first episode psychosis clients; carries out rehabilitation and support functions and assists in treatment, education, and crisis intervention under the clinical supervision of staff with professional degrees. Qualifications and/or Requirements:

  • An Associates of Art’s Degree in Behavioral Health, Health Sciences, or related field and two years of closely related work experience is required. 

  • Appropriate work experience may be substituted for the degree.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and other medical software and computers.  

  •  It is preferred that the Case Manager be bilingual (Spanish) and bicultural. 

  • The candidate must demonstrate respect and appreciation for diversity and have an understanding of the community system. 

  • Experience in Mental Health or Case Management preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written skills are a must.

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.
