Microcredential Program Manager

SALARY: * *$65,799.75 - $72,391.92

LOCATION: Lynnwood, Washington

DESCRIPTION:  

Edmonds College has an exciting career opportunity for a Manager of Microcredential Programs. Under the general direction of the Associate Dean for Workforce and Career Mobility Initiatives, the  Manager of Microcredential Programs supports the development and implementation of new microcredentials and digital badges to be offered through Edmonds College.  This position works closely with industry partners to identify the workplace skills they need and then brings those partners together with college administrators, instructional designers, faculty, advisors and other areas of the college to develop flexible, short-term training programs that meet the industry need and provide career advancement to credential earners. The Manager of Microcredential Programs takes ownership of the full cycle of microcredential development: from industry partner outreach and relationship building to skills identification and microcredential development to marketing of the microcredential.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Relationship Building:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with selected industry partners, employers, campus partners and policy administrators to identify workforce needs, with an emphasis on tangible skills.

Microcredential Development:

  • Work with industry partners and employers, instructional designers, and faculty to develop microcredential offerings, using an established agile design framework in partnership with the Education Design Lab's Community College Growth Engine.

Microcredential Promotions:

  • Promote microcredential programs to potential students to build enrollment.
  • Promote microcredential partnership opportunities to employers.

Project Management:

  • Working within the college's existing structure for curriculum review and approval, maintain workflow processes for design, review, awarding and tracking of microcredentials.
  • Convene and lead campus-wide committees to establish and inform policies and procedures, working with faculty and staff to facilitate the development of innovative microcredential programs.

Marketing and Communications:

Work with departments and marketing/communications team to promote and build awareness of  microcredentials across the campus.

Organize events related to industry engagement.
