DESCRIPTION: Edmonds College is seeking a *High School Completion  *Tenure Track Faculty member. 

This position is enabled by the Our Colleges, Our Future Act of 2021 to guarantee equitable access and educational success for all, particularly for students from communities of color and low-income communities.  The college seeks faculty who demonstrate enthusiasm for learning, are able to adapt to a variety of teaching situations, can employ student-centered approaches and instructional technology effectively, and who work collaboratively with students, staff, and others in a campus climate that promotes cultural diversity, equity, inclusion, and student learning and success.

As a *High School Completion  *Faculty Member, you will be responsible for teaching and providing leadership in various High School Completion courses, including, but not limited to a variety of student success-focused high school completion programs: Edmonds Career Access Program (EdCAP), an  Open Doors program serving out-of-school youth ages 16 -- 21; and International High School, a program serving F-1 visa students seeking transition to college degree programs; and High School +, a competency-based program serving adults 21 and older. This position requires a faculty member to have the ability to successfully teach and advise students from a variety of programs who are often in the same classroom. Faculty must have successful curriculum development and teaching experience with college and career success strategies and precollege math/science.  Our faculty must have the ability to impart excitement and enthusiasm into the instruction of high school completion courses. Many of the students served in the High School Completion Department are the furthest from educational justice. Therefore, our faculty must have experience fostering a climate of equity and belonging by exhibiting anti-racist and trauma-informed teaching practices.

 In this role, you will be responsible for developing an inclusive & culturally responsive curriculum, preparing teaching materials, developing and assessing learning outcomes, assigning grades, maintaining required records, engaging in academic advising, and consulting with students. Other responsibilities include department head duties; participating in achieving the college's mission and goals; upholding the college's values; college governance via department and division work; committee assignments; required professional development and college in-service activities (including employee orientation and college compliance training); and pers
