Crane Aerospace & Electronics is hiring for an Engineering Manager at the Lynnwood, WA location.

Job Summary:

The Engineering Manager manages engineering activities, implements and maintains engineering objectives and initiatives. This role manages creation and improvement of products that involve the engineering department. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Will perform a variety of tasks, and lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Essential Functions:

• Provide leadership and management for product development and sustaining programs and activities

• Evaluate and develop improved techniques for the control of design activities

• Plan and manage the deployment of resources for multiple projects

• Establish and monitor department budgets

• Encourage and provide opportunity for continued relevant technical training

• Review and set up optimized work flow

• Establish and maintain design guidelines and design processes

• Provide the appropriate skill mix to sustain and grow the business and to meet customer requirements

• Provide interface and direct/indirect support to outside suppliers, 3rd party development activities, and customer product integration

• Develop, enhance and maintain a core team as well as an external network of consultants, contractors and suppliers to support product development

• Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor or management

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience: 7+ years’ related experience. 2 years’ supervisory experience; Demonstrated experience with relevant standards and practices; Demonstrated strong customer orientation

• Knowledge : Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

• Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated ability to plan and accomplish goals based on extensive experience and judgment; Demonstrated ADVANCED skills in all of the following responsibilities: employee development, team building, business acumen, continuous improvement, systems and tools, project management and communication (written and verbal).

• Education/Certification: BSEE or related field

Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Working Conditions:

• Standard office environment

• Work requires substantial visual concentration on detail\

• Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment

• Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE

• May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes

Salary range: $158,059 to $194,438. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications.
