Coordinator for Residential Education

*SALARY: * $43,745.20 - $45,878.60

LOCATION: Lynnwood, Washington

DESCRIPTION:  

The live-in Coordinator for Residential Education (CRE) for the Residence Halls coordinates the day-to-day operation of the Residence Halls in coordination with the Housing Director, maintenance staff, and RAs. The CRE is responsible for building community; educational, developmental and college-wide programming; academic support programs; advising, conflict mediation, policy enforcement and jurisprudence; on-site crisis and emergency response coordination; Resident Assistant (RA) training, supervision and evaluation; housing and facilities management; and special projects. The CRE also works with the rest of the Housing team on academic year and summer programs including short programs, summer conferences, orientation and special long term international programs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Staff Supervision and Training
  • Building community, Residence Life and college-wide programming and activities
  • Plans, implements and participates in a comprehensive training and education program for the residential team (RAs, IMs, and Ambassadors). Is responsible for on-going staff development and/or in-service training (weekly/monthly meetings, spring training and fall training) along with providing guidance/training to second year staff members
  • Advising conflict mediation and policy enforcement
  • Supervises and meets weekly with Resident Advisor to assure support for CRE on calls and programming with-in the buildings.
  • Housing and facilities management
  • Monitors and reports on budget expenditures (522 student government funds and Housing Activity fees) and assists in college programming On-site crisis, disaster and emergency response coordination
  • Academic Support Services
  • On-site crisis, disaster and emergency response coordination 
  • Other duties and projects as assigned  

This is an exempt position that reports to the Director of Housing and Residence Life.
