CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT TENURE TRACK FACULTY

SALARY:$81,219 - $82,551

 

LOCATION:Lynnwood, Washington

 

DESCRIPTION:  Edmonds College is seeking a Construction Management Tenure Track Faculty member. 

This position is enabled by the Our Colleges, Our Future Act of 2021 to guarantee equitable access and educational success for all, particularly for students from communities of color and low-income communities.  The College seeks faculty who demonstrate enthusiasm for learning, can adapt to a variety of teaching situations, can employ student-centered approaches and instructional technology effectively, and can work collaboratively with students, staff, and others in a campus climate that promotes cultural diversity, equity, inclusion, and student learning and success.

As a Construction Management Faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching, coordinating instructional activities, and providing academic leadership in various Construction Management courses including, but not limited to, Materials and Methods, Basic Estimating, Architectural Blueprint Reading, Project Management, Construction Safety, Surveying, Civil Construction, Structural Concrete, Building Codes, and Site Specific Safety Plan Administration to experienced members of the construction industry and workforce.  In this role, you will be responsible for developing an inclusive and equitable curriculum, preparing teaching materials, developing and assessing learning outcomes to evaluate student work, assigning grades, maintaining required records, and advising and consulting with students. 

 

Other responsibilities include department head duties; participating in achieving the college's mission and goals; upholding the college's values; college governance via department and division work; committee assignments; required professional development and college in-service activities (including employee orientation and college compliance training); and personal and program evaluation. The teaching assignment may include early morning, late afternoon, evening, weekend, or online classes.  This tenure-track position reports to the Dean of Business and Continuing Education. It is anticipated to start in September 2024 and will have a 9-month service period.
