Summary
This position will be responsible for performing quality control checks and maintaining the quality control program at the hatchery facility.
This position has a target wage of $18.05 - $22.00 per hour and is eligible for comprehensive benefits.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform process audits that include, but are not limited to, Inovo vaccination, box counts, vaccine preparation, hatchery BMP, and poultry welfare
Perform routine temperature checks on incubation equipment as scheduled
Conduct routine moisture loss surveys and residue breakout analysis as scheduled
Train as a backup vaccine mixer for both chick processing and transfer crew
Monitor chemical use, facility bio-security, and facility sanitation both visually and by plating on a daily, weekly, and monthly schedule
Fill chemical barrels, fog the facility, and fill in on the line as needed
General housekeeping of all areas of the hatchery
Must not have exposure to poultry outside of work
Comply and follow company requirements regarding bio-security, food safety, and poultry welfare programs and policies at all times
Maintain a safe work environment
Adhere to all safety rules including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures and Process Safety Management related matters
Minimum Education
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience Requirements
- Reading and writing skills required
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Ability to lift egg cases weighing up to 50 pounds
Exposed to temperatures ranging from 60 - 105 degrees
Humidity up to 100%
Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection as required
Work in a wet, damp, dusty (chick down) environment
Must be able to bend and reach 5” from floor to 6’ in height
Ability to stand in one position for up to 2.5 hours
Exposure to chemicals and vaccines used in a Hatchery Process
Must wear and use protective and safety equipment as required for the job as directed by company
