Hinton Chevrolet, Inc. Diesel Technician/Mechanic in Lynden, Washington
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines, trucks, and other heavy-duty vehicles.
Duties
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, including electrical and mechanical systems
Perform routine maintenance on diesel vehicles
Conduct inspections to identify faulty components and ensure operational safety
Use schematics and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot issues
Complete heavy lifting tasks as needed
Align and balance wheels, repair tires, and perform other tire services
Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed
Skills
Proficiency in equipment repair and maintenance
Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks
Experience with vehicle maintenance, service technician work, and automotive repair
Knowledge of diesel engine systems and components
Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose issues accurately
Excellent communication skills to transmit technical information effectively

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

8 hour shift Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
Experience:
- Diesel engine repair: 2-5 years (Preferred)
Mechanical knowledge: 2-5 years (Preferred)
Ability to Commute:
