Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain current and accurate quantity tracking data

  • Cost Control reporting and forecasting

  • Budget set-up

  • Write and manage RFI’s and change orders

  • Estimating, Procurement

  • Prepare Submittals and maintain submittal log

  • Plan and Coordinate work appropriately to facilitate the work permit process

  • Review construction procedures and provide technical support of work

  • Ensure construction work done in-house and by sub contractors complies with contract

  • Oversee the work of construction and inspections

  • Be directly involved with construction procedures, represent JH Kelly at various meetings

  • Keep management informed of project status and scheduling

Skills / Qualifications

  • Project Engineering experience in Refining and/or Industrial Construction.

  • Piping, Mechanical and/or Civil estimating experience

  • Proficient in reading P&ID’s and Piping Isometrics

  • Familiar with different types of industrial piping materials

  • Familiarity with Mechanical operations and or other applicable mechanical construction experience

  • Understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles with an emphasis on Pipe, Rotating Equipment and Instrumentation. Primary industry: Heavy Industrial

  • Self starter, organized, productive and motivating individual

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Access, Blue Beam and/or comparable applications

  • Familiarity with Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling, using Primavera or comparable applications

  • A solid working knowledge of Project Management, Construction Management, Construction Contracts, Quality Assurance/Quality Control, and Safety

  • Knowledge of crane rigging calculations and rigging operations

Education/Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Technology, or Construction Management field

  • Minimum (5) years experience in Field Engineering or Field Construction Management, in related field
