Integrated Power Services Field Service Technician in Longview, Washington

Responsibilities We are seeking a Field Service Technician to join our Longview, WA Service Center. The chosen candidate will be tasked with analyzing schematic diagrams, aiding in electric motor installations, conducting varied testing and alignment using LASER systems, operating specialized equipment, and carrying out precise data collection and paperwork-all under the guidance of the supervisor or Technician II. Key responsibilities include: Analyze various manufacturers' schematic diagrams Assist Technician Level II in installing and/or removing electric motors at customer's location Test electric motor installations using various methods and testing equipment Assist Technician II in aligning motor shafts, couplings, gearboxes, pumps, fans, and other connected equipment at customer's location using LASER alignment systems Assist Technician II in verifying actions using various start-up testing procedures Assist Technician II in operating specialized equipment, including but not limited to: high-voltage insulation testers, AC/DC volt-ohm-milliamp meters, clamp-on ammeters, various kinds of hand-held power and non-power tools, etc. Collect data and complete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis Perform other skilled or non-skilled duties as directed by supervisor and/or Technician II Qualifications Preferred level of education/experience: high school diploma plus relevant training Strong understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems Strong business communication skills and ability to promote professional image Knowledge of AC and DC motors and motor application Ability to clearly communicate in English via verbal and written methods Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for prolonged periods of time Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50 lbs.
