Itron, Inc. Field Engineer in Liberty Lake, Washington

**This role requires 80% travel, so the person in this role must be within commutable distance to major airport**The Field Engineer works closely with the local Project Manager, Lead Field Engineer, and account teams to assist in all aspects of deploying and supporting Itron network hardware and related systems. Candidate must have the ability to work independently, troubleshoot IPv4 and IPv6 network problems, remediate radio frequency (RF) link issues, complete site surveys and coverage tests.Qualifications* Minimum 2 years work experience in a related wireless or networking field.* Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Science, military training, or equivalent work experience.* Strong background and experience with RF and wireless technologies.* Demonstrated the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot various electronic and RF systems.* Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills; the ability to directly interface with customers and vendors; maintain a professional appearance; and work independently.* Able to Travel locally as much as 80% of the time to customer locations.* Must possess a valid driving license and clean DMV.Required Skills* Analytical problem-solving skills.* Work independently and multi-task with minimum supervision.* A strong understanding of RF and propagation theory as well as experience with RF test equipment and tools such as spectrum analyzers, power meters, sweep testers.* Understanding of TCP/IP and routing concepts.* Strong PC skills with software such as, Excel, Word, and Power Point.Itron is an Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action Employer.
