Itron's Corporate Office in Liberty Lake, Washington is seeking an Accounting Associate that will support the monthly and quarterly accounting close process in our Global Consolidations & Reporting group. They will work closely with other team members in Accounting & Finance and across the organization to create accurate and timely consolidated financial statements reported in accordance with US GAAP. This group is also focused on process improvements, system administration, and project support related to an efficient close cycle. Duties & Responsibilities: Contribute to the month-end close process to ensure timely, accurate financial data that is compliant with US GAAP accounting policies. Prepare monthly general ledger entries and supporting schedules in accordance with close deadlines. Accurately reconcile accounts, summarize activity, and resolve reconciling differences appropriately and in a timely manner. Assist in performing accounting and control procedures related to intercompany balances, foreign currency revaluation and translation, and consolidation processes. Ensure an effective internal financial control environment is maintained. Monitors and develops monthly data integrity reports to help validate accurate global consolidated financials. Assist in maintaining accounting system General Ledger structure. Assist in performing Financial Analysis and provide analytical support to management. Experience/Skills: This position requires 1+ years of related experience Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end close processes Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint,etc.) Desire to contribute and collaborate in a team environment Detail oriented, high-quality work, and strong organizational skills Strong written and oral communication Experience with Oracle EBS and Oracle Cloud EPM, preferred Desire to learn systems and work with large data sets Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. Travel: 1 - 10% Location: This is a hybrid position based out of Liberty Lake, WA and will be required to work on-site (2) days per week.
