Location: Langley, WA
The Telecom Tech is an entry level training position designed to prepare employees to be ready for a career in telecommunication operations. Following a successful 90-day training program, Telecom Techs will be ready for a position on our OSP Construction Team, Service Delivery Team, or our Security & Alarms Team.
TRAINING & DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
Preps sites for underground Telecom installations.
Manually locates buried utility lines.
Fits together the proper conduit for the job at hand.
Places and maintains cable/fiber within underground conduit system.
Organizes supplies and materials for scheduled jobs.
Loads and unloads compactor/materials.
Sets Taps and Nids on buildings.
Pull cable/fiber through existing conduit.
Leaves work area neat using rakes, brooms and shovels.
Maintains right-of-ways, including patching roadways and backfill areas.
Installs and maintains pedestals, carrier sites and equipment at subscriber locations.
