Shop Laborer/Welder's helper: (Lakewood, WA)
Description:
A leading tank manufacturer in Lakewood seeks a Sandblaster/Laborer/Welder's Helper with at least 2 years' experience. Working knowledge of shop/welding fabrication environment is preferred but not necessary, if the candidate possesses previous verifiable experience with tools. Must be willing to work variable hours, overtime and/or weekends when necessary. (Hours may change without notice.)

Duties and Responsibilities' include, but are not limited to:
Performs any combination of following duties to assist welders/Painters: Sandblast tanks/structural steel to ready for paint
Moves materials and/or finished products with manual hand truck or forklift
Keeps shop, yard, equipment and adjacent areas clean and organized.
Assist with production manually and by using machinery (post-training)
Lifts, moves and holds, or clamps workpieces to table, into jigs, or into position as directed, manually or by using hoist, pry bars, wrenches, hammer, and wedges.
Cleans workpieces to remove impurities, such as slag, rust, and grease, using wire brush, portable grinder, hand scraper, or chemical solutions.
Removes, tags or marks, and moves finished work.
Other Duties as assigned as needed.
Good attendance is a condition of employment.
