Responsible for the management of the daily communication and activity surrounding the inventory control of Retail operations. Ensure that the quality, quantity, and cost of goods are within the expectations of our customers, while achieving operational business goals. Integrate customer service with the expectations of the various distribution centers through business process alignment and training. Handle questions or complaints and offer solutions. Ensure inventory in the right place at the right time in the right quantities to service our customers. Manage processes and procedures as they pertain to customer service, buying and national account interactions. This role is remote with travel. Ideal candidates should be located in the Western half of the United States. PAY AND BENEFITS: The pay range for this position is $65k to $85k based on qualifications and experience. This role is also eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan with a target incentive of 10% of your base annual salary. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Build and develop broad based relationships with our distribution warehouse personnel to achieve best business results as aligned with SOPs and business initiatives. Develop, monitor, review, track and report monthly to senior management on established KPIs for inventory control purposes. Ensure continuous improvement in DC operation processes and customer service processes for the benefit of internal customer service team and external customers. Oversee and improve inventory purchasing process for effective cost control decisions while working with the buyers. Work with the national account team to manage forecasts, LTO, and special purchases based on customer parameters and needs. Work with national account managers and/or customers on inventory allocations based on customer specific metrics. Work with buyers and DCs on product quality expectations, including shelf issues and decisions. Work with logistics team to ensure service metrics are met and investigate issues as the arise. Ensure optimal inventory levels and costs to properly service the customers. Manager and reconcile inventory levels at all warehouse locations. Other duties may be assigned. MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (BS, BA) required in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related area. 2 or more years of supervisory experience required. 5 or more years related experience in purchasing, customer service, accounting, warehousing and/or transportation. Experience in the food service industry preferred. Foster a supportive and collaborative environment internally and with warehouses. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to achieve results through persistent negotiations, appropriate allocation of resources, strong communication skills and good judgment. Ability to establish and maintain a range of contacts within and outside the company in a highly professional manner; must be tactful and articulate.
