BluePearl Pet Hospital in Lakewood, WA is hiring an experienced Housekeeper to work on our team!

A BluePearl Housekeeper is a vital member of our team. They create and maintain a welcoming, healthy, and safe environment for our patients, clients, and staff while upholding our core values. The cleanliness of the hospital helps clients feel welcome and instills trust that we will provide their pets with quality veterinary care.

Experience with janitorial work in a medical environment is required, veterinary experience is preferred.

Pay: $18.75 - $21.62 / hour

*Early morning dayshift, full time or part time available, great benefits!

As a Housekeeper, you will:

  • Perform cleaning of the hospital rooms and exterior grounds as outlined in housekeeping SOP's and checklists

  • Communicate with Nursing Shift Supervisors (NSS) and Assistant Client Service Rep Managers (ACSRM) to facilitate a clean and safe work environment and report issues in the absence of the Facilities Manager

  • Notify Facilities Manager of repairs or supplies needed for facilities maintenance

  • Handle patient bodily fluids and hazardous materials under protected conditions

  • Ability to work a variable schedule which requires weekends, holidays, and reliable transportation

  • Ability to learn practice software and possess general computer skills

  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently with attention to detail

  • Ability to handle delicate situations tactfully and with compassion while upholding policies

  • Ability to maintain a pleasant, professional, and empathetic demeanor at all times

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance

  • Previous experience in a housekeeping position is preferred
