Position Summary

The mission of Pierce College is to create quality educational opportunities for a diverse community of learners to thrive in an evolving world. ** The Director of P-12 Partnerships advances the equity-centered mission of Pierce College by engaging with local school districts to build quality, equitable pathways to college leading to career outcomes. The Director works collaboratively to build relationships with school district personnel, supervises on-site program manager(s) at partner high schools, and ensures the college's dual enrollment programs support equitable access, opportunity, and success while centering Black and Brown student excellence. Typical activities include administrative management of existing programs, community outreach/relationship building to develop and sustain new opportunities, actively identifying and dismantling barriers to equitable success, ongoing program and curriculum development and assessment, and directing the oversight of college operations on high school campuses. In addition, this supervises the Director of Pierce County Careers Connections which supports P-12 Career and Technical Education. The Director of P-12 Partnerships reports directly to the Associate Vice President of Learning and Student Success and requires regular and consistent attendance.

Pierce is also one of 30 original AACC Guided Pathways colleges and one of first five College Spark Washington pathways colleges. We have bold goals to have all students on a career pathway to increase completion rates for all students and to close achievement gaps by 2027.

Essential Functions

*The District Director of P-12 Partnerships position will perform their duties while actively supporting Pierce College's integrated institutional values and core themes in the advancement of the Learning and Student Success Division including, but not limited to: *  Integrated Institutional and Program Core

Actively advance Pierce College's active commitments to equity, diversity, inclusion, and antiracism to advance Black & Brown student excellence and provide access, opportunity, and success for our diverse community of learners.
