City of Lake Stevens Revenue Development Specialist in Lake Stevens, Washington

This position performs specialized work to secure revenues for the Parks and Recreation Department. Funding will support park acquisition, capital projects, recreational opportunities, classes and programming, events, and equipment to support operations.

The incumbent proactively seeks, recommends and secures short- and long-term funding options. Research and applying for funding sources, including grants, will be performed on an ongoing basis. The incumbent will be responsible to maintain schedules, compliance, reports and tracking for all revenues secured.   They will coordinate the monitoring and evaluation of programs and projects with program staff and the organization/agencies who provided funds.   The incumbent is responsible for creating and managing programs for sponsorships, partnerships, donations, and any other revenue generating programs identified. This will also include working with government entities, as well as public and private non-profit organizations and businesses, to gain support and in-kind donations for projects, programs and department support.

Work is performed with general supervision. The Director defines objectives, priorities, and deadlines; and assists incumbent with unusual situations, which do not have clear objectives or precedents.  Incumbent plans and carries out assignments and manage problems and deviations in accordance with instructions, policies, procedures and/or accepted practices.  Work is evaluated for technical soundness and conformity to practice and policy.
