The Toxics Cleanup Program{rel="nofollow"} (TCP) within the Department of Ecology (Ecology) is looking to fill a *Voluntary Cleanup Program, Initial Investigation Unit Supervisor (WMS Band 1) *position. This position is located in our *Southwest Region Office (SWRO) *in Lacey, WA.{rel="nofollow"} Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.   As the Environmental Investigation, Site Hazard Assessment Unit Supervisor, you are responsible for providing leadership, strategic planning, professional development and technical project support to your nine staff as they complete activities related to the investigation and cleanup of contaminated sites. You'll promote a cooperative work environment to maintain unit cohesion, by assigning and directing work, leading and supporting the hiring and training of staff, promoting staff development, and handling personnel issues. Additionally, in coordination with the Southwest Region Section Manager, you'll provide oversight over a number of unit responsibilities, including Initial Investigations of environmental releases of hazardous substances, ranking of sites based on their potential to cause environmental harm, coordination of the Voluntary Cleanup Program, and managing Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) cleanup sites.

Tele-work options for this position: *This position will have flexibility of a hybrid schedule, empowering work from home and office, providing less time in traffic and shrinking your carbon footprint.
