The Financial Services Division within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a Revenue and Receivables Manager (WMS Band 1) position. This position is located in our Headquarters Office in Lacey, WA.{rel="nofollow"} Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.

 

As the Revenue and Receivables Manager, you will lead a dynamic team dedicated to ensuring the financial integrity of our agency. You will manage the Revenue and Receivables Unit's workload, assigning duties and deadlines for daily cash deposits, monthly and quarterly invoicing, general ledger and project reconciliations, interest accruals, and annual assessments of receivable collectability. Your responsibilities include managing and monitoring agency cashiering, revenue tracking, billing systems, accounts receivable, collections, and interagency agreements. You will ensure accurate recording of agency-wide receivables and cashiering transactions in the state-wide accounting system (AFRS) and proper monthly and fiscal year-end reporting to the Office of Financial Management (OFM). This includes preparing the agency's Annual Comprehensive Financial Report and the associated reports required by OFM.

 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to deepen your understanding of the processes and systems related to billing, receiving, and depositing agency revenue while gaining valuable expertise in accounting transactions using OFM's required chart of accounts, general ledgers codes, and our agency-defined chart of accounts.

*Telework options for this position: *This position will have flexibility of a hybrid schedule, empowering work from home and office, providing less time in traffic and shrinking your carbon footprint. This position will be eligible for up to a 40% telework schedule with the expectation of working in the office at least three days per week.
