The Shorelands & Environmental Assistance{rel="nofollow"} (SEA) program within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a Regional Section Assistant (Administrative Assistant 3) *position. This position is located in our *Southwest Region Office in* *Lacey, WA.{rel="nofollow"} Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.

In this role, you will support a team of environmental professionals as we work to protect and manage shorelines, wetlands, and floodplains in the Southwest Region of Ecology. You will assist with implementation of the state Shoreline Management Act by conducting shoreline permit intake and distribution and completing procedural steps with Shoreline Master Program amendments. This position also assists with timely issuance of the Section 401 Water Quality Certifications, wetland orders, and other essential communications for environmental management. You will have the opportunity to coordinate with other professionals within Ecology and with our external partners, including state and local agencies and tribal governments.
