Providence is calling a Radiological Technologist II (1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week Day Shift) to work in Radiology Services at Providence Centralia Hospital in Lacey, Washington.

The Radiological Technologist II will perform all diagnostic x-ray radiological procedures including radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures in Diagnostic Imaging, portable and in surgery. In addition, this position is expected to be able to perform at least one advanced skill technology area including CT scan, Special Procedures/Angiography, DEXA or Mammography.
In this position you will:
Able to achieve proper density and contrast for radiographic and fluoroscopic studies. Includes selection of proper use of MAS and KVP, and use of proper collimation
Properly positions patient for radiographic and fluoroscopic studies. Includes following prescribed protocols as well as achieving proper positioning
Supports radiologist for invasive/interventional procedures. This includes anticipating needs of radiologist for supplies, equipment and procedural support
Proficient and competent in patient handling and body mechanics
Assure that adequate and pertinent data is communicated to peers and doctors accurately and concisely
Maintain cleanliness of equipment, work areas, and exam rooms and assures they are ready for use after each patient
This position has regular and recurrent direct clinical contact with any of the following: Neonates; Adolescents; Infants; Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
Assess and adjusts care/treatment to be compatible with the age, growth and development and needs of the patients
Assess patient’s level of understanding and adjusts care appropriately
Portray calm, reassuring manner when caring for patients and family
Utilize supplies, equipment and instruments in relation to size and age of the patient
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Graduate of a radiographic program approved by the JCERT and the American Registry of Radiological Technologists
Registered Radiological Technologist (ARRT)
Washington State Radiologic Technologist Certification
American Heart Association - Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) Certification
Two (2) years of Experience in all areas of diagnostic x-ray
