The Environmental Assessment Program{rel="nofollow"} (EAP) within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a Product Studies Chemist (Chemist 3) position. This position is locatedin our *Headquarters Office inLacey, WA.{rel="nofollow"} Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station. In this position, you will serve as a consumer products scientific expert. You will collaboratively plan, research, and draft language, and evaluate proposed policy and other published language for regulatory scientific rigor, quality, feasibility, and defensibility. You will play an integral role in ensuring public facing science around consumer products describes credible and defensible science. You will also review, correct, and draft materials about the application of regulatory testing methods, provide scientific terminology, and suitable use and application of scientific technology and concepts that apply to regulatory consumer products science and testing. *Agency Mission: *Ecology's mission is to protect, preserve, and enhance Washington's environment for current and future generations.   *Program Mission: The mission of the Environmental Assessment Program is to measure, assess, and communicate environmental conditions in Washington State. We work to improve the environment for current and future generations through innovative and excellent science and thriving partnerships. *Tele-work options for this position: *This position will have flexibility of a hybrid schedule, empowering work from home and office, providing less time in traffic and shrinking your carbon footprint.
