The Environmental Assessment Program{rel="nofollow"} (EAP) within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a Product Studies Chemist (Chemist 3) position. This position is located* in our *Headquarters Office in* Lacey, WA.{rel="nofollow"} Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station. In this position, you will serve as a consumer products scientific expert. You will collaboratively plan, research, and draft language, and evaluate proposed policy and other published language for regulatory scientific rigor, quality, feasibility, and defensibility. You will play an integral role in ensuring public facing science around consumer products describes credible and defensible science. You will also review, correct, and draft materials about the application of regulatory testing methods, provide scientific terminology, and suitable use and application of scientific technology and concepts that apply to regulatory consumer products science and testing. *Agency Mission: *Ecology's mission is to protect, preserve, and enhance Washington's environment for current and future generations. *Program Mission: The mission of the Environmental Assessment Program is to measure, assess, and communicate environmental conditions in Washington State. This position will be eligible for up to a 90% tele-work schedule.
