The*  Shorelands & Environmental Assistance{rel="nofollow"} (SEA) program within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a *Coastal Resilience Partnership Planner (Environmental Planner 3) position. This position can be located in any one of the following offices:

Headquarters Office inLacey, WA.{rel="nofollow"} *Northwest Region Office (NWRO) *in Shoreline, WA{rel="nofollow"}. *Central Region Office (CRO) in Union Gap, WA{rel="nofollow"}. Eastern Region Office (ERO) in Spokane, WA{rel="nofollow"}.

Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station. Please Note: If the final location of this position is determined to be in our Northwest Region Office (NWRO) in Shoreline, WA{target="_blank" rel="noopener"}. there will be an additional 5% pay increase due to its location in King County. In this instance the salary range will be $5776 - $7770 per month. 

In this role, you will be responsible for two primary tasks.  First, you will plan, organize, and oversee the implementation of an existing grant program [the Flood Control Assistance Account Program (FCAAP)] that focuses on helping local communities identify their risks from flooding and address those risks through a comprehensive planning approach.  Second, you will conduct a top-down, bottom-up analysis of the rules that guide how FCAAP is administered (Chapter 173-145 of the Washington Administrative Code) to understand how well the program is meeting the current and reasonably foreseeable needs of Washington's communities---including Tribal communities---and where gaps exist.  You will then develop and help senior staff and managers carry out recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the program.
