The Financial Services Division *within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a *Fiscal Manager (WMS Band 3) position. This position is locatedin our *Headquarters Office in* *Lacey, WA.{rel="nofollow"} Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.

In this role, you will plan, lead, organize, and control the work performed by the fiscal office. You must assure appropriate and optimum use of the organization's resources and enhances employee effectiveness through timely appraisal and professional development opportunities. You will support effective communications throughout the fiscal office and maintain the highest standards of personal/professional and ethical conduct and support the state's goals for a diverse workforce. You will be responsible for supervising the Fiscal Office's objective of providing valuable and punctual financial data to various levels of agency management. You will be accountable for responsible for the tasks of 56 employees who handle Ecology's accounting and procurement services, to guarantee adherence to federal and state laws, as well as Ecology regulations and protocols. Some of the areas covered are payroll labor distribution and timekeeping, federal grant accounting (income and expense); accounts payable or contracts, grants and loans, accounting for travel and vendors, as well as purchasing and contract management. *Program Mission: *The Financial Services mission is to manage the agency's financial resources and support agency planning so that environmental goals and strategic priorities are met.

Tele-work options for this position: *This position will have flexibility of a hybrid schedule, empowering work from home and office, providing less time in traffic and shrinking your carbon footprint.
