Keeping Washington Clean and Evergreen

The Spill Prevention, Preparedness, and Response (SPPR) *program within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill two *Financial Responsibility Regulatory Analyst (Regulatory Analyst 3) *positions. The positions can be located *in either of the below locations:

 

Headquarters Office in* *Lacey, WA.{rel="nofollow"}

Northwest Region Office (NWRO) *in *Shoreline, WA{rel="nofollow"}.

 

Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.

Please Note: If the final location of this position is determined to be in our Northwest Region Office (NWRO) in Shoreline, WA{target="_blank" rel="noopener"}. there will be an additional 5% pay increase due to its location in King County. In this instance the salary range will be $6,703 - $9,013 per month.  In this role, you will audit industry financial responsibility applications and backup documentation and issue Certificates of Financial Responsibility to regulated facilities, vessels, and pipelines after they have provided an application and proof that they have the financial resources to cover the costs of response to oil spills. Your work will ensure that spillers of oil are committed to and capable of protecting and restoring the state's natural, cultural, and economic resources should a spill occur. You will have the opportunity to learn about commercial vessels that sail our waters and their cargos and become a subject matter expert regarding facilities that handle, process, and transport oil throughout Washington State. Our vision is to create a zero spills world.  Tele-work options for this position: *This position will have flexibility of a hybrid schedule, empowering work from home and office, providing less time in traffic and shrinking your carbon footprint.
