The Spill Prevention, Preparedness, and Response (SPPR) Program *within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill an *Enforcement Coordination Support (Marine Transportation Safety Specialist 2) *position. This position can be located in either our *Headquarters Office inLacey, WA{rel="nofollow"} or our *Northwest Region Office (NWRO) *in *Shoreline, WA{rel="nofollow"}. Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.

* Please Note:* If the final location of this position is determined to be in our Northwest Region Office (NWRO) in Shoreline, WA{rel="nofollow"} there will be an additional 5% pay increase due to its location in King County. In this instance the salary range will be $6,072 - $8,167 per month. 

Join the Statewide Resources Section of the SPPR Program and support the important work of prevention, preparedness, and response to oil and other hazardous material incidents throughout the state! Ecology's spills preparedness program manages roughly 4,300 reported calls per year, each of which could result in an enforcement action. You will assist in the processing of enforcement actions statewide with each of Ecology's regional offices. You will work closely with our responders, supervisors and managers, Enforcement Leads, Investigation Leads, the Washington State Office of the Attorney General, Ecology enforcement coordinators, and responsible parties.   Agency Mission: *Ecology's mission is to protect, preserve and enhance the environment for current and future generations.  * * * Program Mission: *The Spill Prevention, Preparedness, and Response Program's mission is to protect, preserve, and restore Washington's environment. Telework options for this position: *This position will have flexibility of a hybrid schedule, empowering work from home and office, providing less time in traffic and shrinking your carbon footprint. This position will be eligible for up to a 90% telework schedule with some required time in the office as needed. *
