Washington State DSHS ALTSA Kinship Navigator Fidelity Analyst/Project Manager in Lacey, Washington

Description DSHS Kinship Navigator Analyst Project Manager Home and Community Services Division within the Aging and Long-Term Support Administration (ALTSA) is searching for a Kinship Navigator Analyst Project Manager. This position is part of the State Unit on Aging, with direct responsibility for implementation, consultation, and fidelity support for Kinship Navigator sites participating in the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) pilot. You will have a statewide impact on guiding the network of Kinship Navigators as they support the grandparents and other relatives who step in to care for children whose parents are unable parent. This changes the lives of those children for the better. This is a limited-time grant-funded project position anticipated through 2024. Some of What Will Keep You Busy * Serve as a Kinship Navigator subject matter expert. Refine policies and procedures for the Kinship Navigator Program * Collaborate with ALTSA, DCYF, and research data contractor on kinship statewide survey development, distribution, and analysis dissemination. * Design, develop and implement staff training for participating Kinship Navigators (in-person and regular conference calls/webinars, and share available online training) such as trauma-informed approaches, systems involvement, cultural competence. * Implement, and provide technical assistance on new Kinship caregiver needs assessment, data collection, and program outcomes * Assist in the development of statewide implementation strategies as informed by the assessment and research conducted under FFPSA. Who We Want As Our New Teammate Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in social work, health or social science, public administration, or related field and five year's experience in policy development or program planning/administering or providing direct community-based supportive services to kinship care families at a state or county level. Qualities We're Looking For: * * Highly motivated and self-directed * Strong communicator – active listener * Strong analytical skills for reporting activities * A problem solver and rapport builder * Collaborates well across agencies/service systems *Skills and Abilities * Ability to assess and identify training needs for staff development * Demonstrated knowledge of kinship care programs and resources in WA State. * Demonstrated expertise in person-centered thinking skills and approaches * Ability to build trusting relationships * Experience with online data systems, data analysis, and program development * Ability to train and facilitate meetings for Kinship Navigators and host agency staff. * Ability to deal with change effectively and help others through the change process * Be able to work within a team environment while exhibiting excellent interpersonal skills * Conduct experienced, thoughtful, and thorough analysis of outcome and assessment data from a variety of information sources * Demonstrate knowledge of the scope and operations of kinship care resources available statewide for relatives regardless if they are involved with the child welfare system. * Able to multi-task and focus on the big picture as well as detailed work.
