The Climate Pollution Reduction Program (CPRP) is looking to fill the *Climate Commitment Act Financial Reporting Specialist (Management Analyst 4) *position. This position will be located at our Headquarters Building in Lacey, WA{rel="nofollow"}. Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.

As the Climate Commitment Act (CCA) Financial Reporting Specialist, you will have a vital function in leading the program's annual reporting to the Legislature on the distribution of funds from Climate Commitment Act accounts. In this role, you will direct data quality improvement efforts in reporting by examining tools utilized by other states with cap-and-invest carbon market programs, and by working with reporting recipients, including 28 state agencies and seven colleges and universities, to formalize business practices and processes. 

Your work will also connect you with the Office of Equity and Environmental Justice relating to Climate Commitment Act (CCA) and Healthy Environment for All (HEAL) Act topics, in order to accurately track CCA spending that provides direct and meaningful benefits to vulnerable populations in overburdened communities, including Tribes.

The principal department strategic priorities and goals that relate to the Climate Pollution Reduction Program (CPRP) include: reduce and prepare for climate impacts; prevent and reduce toxic threats; and deliver efficient and effective services. The CPRP's mission is to implement policies and programs to reduce carbon emissions in the state of Washington so that the state meets its statutory greenhouse gas emission limits. The CPRP focuses long term, requiring creative and strategic decision making for implementation to achieve broad statewide and interstate success reducing carbon emissions in the state of Washington so residents have a healthy environment and climate.
