Requisition Summary The Vehicle Integration Department focus is to drive a systems approach for vehicle development starting with the high-level vehicle performance and functionality needs of the industry. This performance and systems team is one of three branches of early definition and strategic planning within the department. In this leadership role you will guide a team of technical engineers across the vehicle domains such as drivability, fuel efficiency, energy efficiency, reliability, diagnostics, thermal management, and more. Scope of work includes leading systems analysis direction for customer requirements decomposition, impact assessments for new technologies, definition of vehicle and system-level targets, and developing validation requirements. In this position, a successful candidate will lead cross-functional team members to define expectations at the vehicle performance (top level) for the future products to come in areas such as battery electric, internal combustion, hydrogen fuel cell, ADAS, connected vehicles, and much more. Job Functions/Responsibilities Lead a team of Subject Matter Experts (SME) within the Vehicle Definition Department. You will champion technical processes, standard methodologies and tool development for system engineering and product development. Conduct requirements collection and creation, vehicle to system decomposition, preliminary product concepts, support product realization, and oversee design verification testing, system integration, product compliancy. Develop and champion system engineering principles and practices to global teams of mechanical, electrical, and software domains through vehicle level performance definition and decomposition support to system and sub-system requirements. Coordinate with Product Planning to undestandcustomer requirements Champion roadmaps by building business plans and soliciting technologies with cross-functional global teams for aligned program scope inclusion. Host global alignment reviews of vehicle domain roadmaps with executive engineering leadership of product development. Lead technical team responsible for defining vehicle level requirements and translate these requirements to system and component design teams. (ex. energy economy, drivability, thermal management reliability, diagnostics, connectivity, etc.). Lead building and maintaining vehicle-level simulation models to enable system optimization.
