Google UX Research Manager, Google Meet and Google Duo in Kirkland, Washington

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Learning Sciences, Statistics, Psychology, related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience working in an applied research setting and/or product research and development.

  • 3 years of experience managing UX research teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience running user research programs employing a variety of research methods.

  • Experience developing, managing, and executing multiple research roadmaps as a leader and manager.

  • Ability to guide teams on using a wide variety of methods, and to triangulate results across additional data sets, both internal and external.

  • Excellent teamwork skills and ability to work with a wide variety of partners from different disciplines and levels.

As a UX Research Manager, you will be a key driver of these communication and collaboration experiences. You will solve technical and product challenges as we build a better way to communicate and get stuff done. Your leadership and research will drive this evolution across a number of user segments.

Additional Information

(Colorado only*) Minimum salary range between $180,000 - $194,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

*Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation range for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.

  • Manage a team of researchers focused on creating and improving a variety of experiences across several user-facing program areas across education, consumer, and commercial user segments.

  • Identify potential areas for pathfinding/foundational research and scope research in those areas.
