This position will take a system-level optimization approach and require collaboration within a global cross-functional and multicultural team. PACCAR is focused on developing zero-emissions vehicles product line and this is a chance to take a lead role in delivering that product roadmap.Job ResponsibilitiesProvide direction for vehicle level architecture to meet the demands of high-performance BEV systemsSeek continuous learning opportunities to stay current on emerging technologiesDevelopment or support of various BEV technology roadmapDefine system level technical requirements that meet or exceed customer expectationsCollaborate with other system owners to define component level requirements necessary to meet vehicle level targetsDevelop verification and validation plans to ensure customer requirements and reliability targets are being achieved Provide written and verbal updates to local and global key stakeholdersTravel domestically and internationallyQualifications / SkillsA Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with 3+ years of experience in new product development, requireExperience with system-level requirements development, component selection, integration, performance, and validation required Overall product knowledge required: Electric Vehicle Systems, High Voltage Componentry, Lithium-Ion Battery SystemsPassion for working on next-generation electrified commercial transportationDemonstrated prior design experience: project management, and/or design lead experience preferredSelf-directed with excellent analysis and engineering judgmentFosters a collaborative and inclusive work environment by considering other perspectives and welcomes differing points of viewDemonstrated
