The Advanced Technology Group (ATG) at ServiceNow is a customer-focused innovation group building intelligent software and smart user experiences using existing and latest advanced technologies to enable end-to-end, industry-leading work experiences for customers. We are a group of researchers, applied scientists, engineers, and product managers with a dual mission. We build and evolve the AI platform, and partner with teams to build products and end-to-end AI-powered work experiences. In equal measure, we lay the foundations, research, experiment, and de-risk AI technologies that unlock new work experiences in the future.

You will be part of the AI Enablement internal product team within ATG. We provide tools and services to enable world class AI for our internal and external customers.

Our portfolio includes AI Toolkit that aims to empower internal AI practitioners who need to transform raw data into production-grade AI models with significantly less time and effort. We have machine learning error analysis tool that helps data scientists build better models and do more than looking at raw metrics before shipping a model to production. We constantly innovate, provide tools and services to the delight of our customers. Our tech stack includes Python, GO, Docker, Kubernetes, Relational DB, Private and Public Cloud infrastructure and other latest technologies.

What you get to do in this role:

  • Design, Develop, and Implement new products and features for our AI Practitioners and enhance existing tools

  • Build high-quality, scalable, and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes

  • Collaborate daily with a team of like-minded developers, product managers, AI Practitioners, and quality engineers to produce quality software

  • Be a mentor for colleagues and lead by example

  • Follow agile development methodologies

  • Contribute to open-source projects as needed

To be successful in this role you have:

  • 8+ years of experience in development, and maintenance of software applications.

  • Backend Development experience that includes Python and Relational Databases

  • Experience using Docker and Kubernetes

  • Experience with micro services / distributed programming

  • Experience with REST API frameworks (nice to have)

  • Knowledge of core AI/ML techniques and algorithms (nice to have)

  • Familiarity with Linux environments (nice to have)

  • Expertise in coding efficient, object-oriented, modularized and quality software

  • Knowledge of unit testing, profiling, and code tuning.
