JOB SUMMARY

As our Sr Calibration Technician, you will execute and revise procedures and techniques for calibrating measurement devices, by applying knowledge of measurement science, mathematics, physics, and electronics, sometimes under the direction of engineering staff. You will determine measurement standard suitability for calibrating measurement devices. You will perform preventive maintenance and corrective actions to address identified calibration problems.

JOB DUTIES

  • Manages calibration system for overdue and upcoming equipment calibrations including notifying internal resources

  • Calibrates internal fixtures using engineering calibration procedures and complex equipment

  • Troubleshoots and repairs internal fixtures

  • Supports/services production and engineering teams requests

  • Reviews and signs-off on internal calibration procedures

  • Calibrates OEM equipment per internal capabilities

  • Assists engineering on development test fixtures as required

  • Assists management on special projects, as required

  • Sets priorities for the Cal Lab

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • AA in Electrical Metrology or equivalent

  • 5 years as a Calibration Instrumentation Technician maybe considered in lieu of an AA degree

  • ASQ Certified a plus

  • Demonstrates proficiency in the job duties which is typically achieved with 4-6 years of direct experience

  • Experience with calibration standards to calibrate, adjust, certify, maintain, and repair test and process equipment using approved calibration procedures, process specifications, equipment drawings/ electrical schematics, and manufacturer’s performance specifications.

  • Proficient with the MS Office suite software

  • Experience with a data base interface and query software

  • Maintaining Electronic Equipment – Servicing, calibrating, regulating, fine-tuning, or testing machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of electrical or electronic (not mechanical) principles

  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the calibration of goods

  • The ability to lift up to 25 pounds

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible

Base salary range is $29.14 - $43.71 per hour. Several job-related and non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience in comparable roles, skill sets, training, education, licensure or certifications, other qualifications, market conditions and business needs influence actual salary offered.
