We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a* Shipping Clerk* to help support our Aerospace business. At L&P Aerospace, we specialize in creating complex tube and ductassemblies using high-performance materials capable of withstanding extreme pressure, temperature, and chemical interactions. How high are our quality standards, you ask? So much so,that we have products supporting space launch vehicles, as well as US and European military fighter jets! If you join our team, your work will ensure families across the world fly a little safer, wherever their travels may take them.
As a Shipping Clerk you will have the opportunity to coordinate activities of workers responsible for picking up product and preparing it for same day shipping both nationally and internationally.
Pay Range: $24.00/hr. - $27.00/hr. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday/Full time/40 hours per week on site
Essential Functions:
- Process Complete work orders for shipment: Tally order quantities, run pre-invoices, prepare mill test reports, prepare shipping packets, and schedule trucks for pick up
- Use lean manufacturing principles to study/standardize procedures, in order to improve efficiency
- Contact shipping Logistics assigned
- Contact overseas companies for shipping instructions and prepare all export documents
- Close job files after shipments
- Issue box and give to Accounting
- Ensure correct shipment of all orders (local, internati onal, hazardous, etc.) to include accurate paperwork andaccountability of items
- Print daily shipping lists
- Coordinate with staff for scheduling daily deliveries and shipping needs (organize strategy)
- E-mail shipping paperwork electronically, locally, and Internati onally
- Prepare Duty Drawback paperwork on a quarterly basis
- Compile AES and Air Way bill necessary for orders
- Prepare Commodity Flow Survey on a quarterly basis
- Box all completed work orders and coordinate digital scanning/retenti on by vendor
