Google Senior Staff Software Specialist, Google Cloud in Kirkland, Washington

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.

  • 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.

  • 5 years of experience with API management, infrastructure automation or service lifecycle management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

  • 7 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks.

  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.

  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, and/or cross-business projects.

  • Experience with compute technologies, storage, and/or hardware architecture.

With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

EasySaaS is on a mission to enable Google Cloud Platform (GCP) service producers to build services that work consistently across environments. Typically, adding new services takes significant effort. EasySaaS has the potential to slash this time significantly, allowing GCP to deliver an order of magnitude more products with smaller teams.

The EasySaaS Rollout team will focus specifically on enabling service producers to safely push changes at scale to a fleet of service instances distributed across environments. This team has an impact and influence across GCP. We're expanding our focus and creating new offerings to support the changing needs of the GCP business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $231,000-$339,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Set the technical vision and strategy for delivering the above requirements and leading a multi-year technical roadmap, balancing short and long-term technology investments.

  • Drive the roadmap and partner with Product Management on the definition and development of new features.

  • Engage with partner teams to align on product requirements, solution architecture, and emerging requirements and issues.

  • Help teams find the right short-term and long-term balance between development velocity and generalization of software solutions.
