As part of the Viz Client Infrastructure team you will be helping other teams that work in the browser client code and technology stack to be more effective. We do this by working on broad architectural-level changes, reducing the amount of technical debt that has accrued over the years, and opening channels of communication between teams working on similar challenges.

We have an opportunity for a senior level engineer who thrives on hard technical challenges in a space with many unknown unknowns.

What you'll be doing :

  • Working closelywithcross-functional teamsto identify opportunitiesfor improving the developer experience at Tableau.

  • Discovering and implementing product-wide architectural changes that are the foundation of our visualization code base.

  • Developingand communicating best practices to engineers throughout the organization.

Who you are:

  • You are skilled working with web technologies such as Javascript, TypeScript, React, AngularJS, HTML, CSS and have experience programming with at least one Object Oriented programming language such as C++, Java, or C#.
