POSITION SUMMARY:

The Aerospace Inside Sales Manager is responsible for sales order management, managing customer relationships, and overseeing the communication & execution of aerospace programs. This role requires a deep understanding of the aerospace industry, strong leadership skills, technical expertise for value add and alternate solutions, and the ability to balance multiple complex projects from inception to completion. The manager will serve as the primary point of contact for key customers, ensuring their needs are met while aligning with the company’s strategic goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for overseeing and maintaining the sales orderbook, ensuring that customer orders are accurately processed, scheduled, and follow the approved processes.

  • Monitor and manage quote load as well as required metrics & internal presentations to ensure planned growth is being achieved

Support business development team pursuing new business opportunities within the aerospace sector.

  • Maintain and expand relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions.

Lead negotiations for contracts, pricing, and terms to secure profitable business deals.

  • Participate in the prioritization, execution, and delivery of aerospace programs, ensuring timely communication of customer requirements, timelines, and budget constraints.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and purchasing, to ensure program success.

  • Monitor program progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and customer specifications.

  • Apply technical knowledge of aerospace systems, materials, and manufacturing processes to support sales efforts and program execution.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure that product designs meet customer specifications and industry standards.

  • Provide technical guidance to customers, explaining alternate supply concepts and solutions in an accessible manner.

  • Stay updated on advancements in aerospace technology and integrate this knowledge into sales strategies and program management.

  • Coordinate technical assessments with operations and quality during the proposal phase to ensure feasibility and alignment with company capabilities.

  • Act as the primary liaison between the company and its aerospace customers. Be the ‘face of the customer’ within the branch.

  • Provide timely updates to customers on program/order status, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.

  • Foster long-term relationships by delivering exceptional customer service and support.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Proven experience in aerospace sales, program management or a related field, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets and managing high levels of customer inquiries.

  • Proven experience of managing large customer orderbook.

  • Working knowledge of the aerospace market dynamics, and regulatory requirements.

  • Technical understanding of aerospace materials and manufacturing processes.

  • Experience in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate and motivate cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in CRM software, project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and manage programs.

  • Proficient with ERP systems, Epicor is a plus.

    EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent experience.

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent highly desired

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 7 – 10 years of prior experience developing or working with the technical sale responsibility in a manufacturing environment.

  • Minimum 2 years of direct management experience

  • Hands-on experience with aerospace manufacturing processes or engineering design is desired

    We are looking for a leader with a proven sales/customer track record. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate, through references and work samples, the ability to work effectively with employees and managers at all levels of the organization and be a proven problem solver.

    Pay Range: $105,000 - $125,000 + bonus potential

    Work Schedule: Monday-Friday/Full time on site
