Get started!Job Functions / ResponsibilitiesJob Functions / Responsibilities:The Engine Integration Department is looking for a collaborative and driven engineer to support our team this summer, focused on supporting advanced emissions programs in response to EPA & CARB emissions vehicle requirement updates. Our goals are to integrate PACCAR's advanced engine portfolio into our various vehicles through system ownership of Engines, Air Systems, Fuel Systems, Power Steering Systems & Engine Mounts. You will have the opportunity to make a great contribution to the direction and completion of the program. You will get the opportunity to explore, innovate, and have freedom to generate ideas. You will follow-through on concepts to produce prototypes, develop test plans and analyze performance results.Here is what you will do in this Role:Assist in the direction, analysis, and detailed design of components as a part of an advanced emissions programUtilize Creo/Pro-E to create optimized parts and assemblies Complete work related to engineering goals, regulation changes, Plant Liaison Requests (PLRs), field service, and Option Approval Request (OAR) support.Learn and utilize PCAR and Industry systems to manage a product implementationLearn and Develop components through Design For Six Sigma Engineering PracticesNetwork and work closely with multiple PACCAR divisions around the globeDivision InformationSkills / CompetenciesQualificationsQualifications & SkillsRequired - Candidates must be actively pursuing a BS level degree or higher in ME or similar, and at least Junior level.Required - Willingness to grow personally and professionally, ready to learn and make use of new engineering processes and techniques. Be resourceful in solving complex technical problems.Required - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Required - Demonstrated ability to work with a team to achieve timely objectives.Required - Competency in the use of personal computer software and MS Office suite of tools.Required - Willingness to be hands-on, develop prototypes and support on-the-ground testing.Preferred - Knowledge and proficiency with 3D modeling software, such as Pro EngineerEducationCurrently pursuingBachelors or Masters in ME or similar.Additional Job Board InformationPACCAR is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veteran/Disability.
