Get started!Requisition SummaryPACCAR's Embedded Engineering department, which supports the Peterbilt, Kenworth, and DAF truck brands, has an opening for an Embedded Hardware and Software Engineering Lead. Reporting to the Supervisor, Project Management Team, this position will lead vehicle function development through the V-Cycle Development Process from requirements definition through system validation for their assigned projects. This position supports a global vehicle platform and will need to coordinate and align global requirements, hardware and software development, electrical development, and testing. This position will be working with our Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) team to deliver our next level of ADAS functionality. The successful candidate will have technical and project management experience gained from participating in and coordinating development across multiple engineering teams through utilization of appropriate product development methods leading to high-quality product launches.Job Functions / Responsibilities* Lead product development through initial design concepts, project budget and schedule development, risk identification and mitigation, and support quality product implementations in a matrixed organizationCoordinate technical development of components (both hardware and software) with technical leads within the departmentServe as the liaison between truck division Program Managers and Embedded Engineering teams to understand program risks, development activities, and technical issuesEnsure intellectual property coverage for new Embedded Engineering technical ideasLead technical review meeting related to assigned projectsCoordinate functional safety reviews and track completion of safety conceptsBuild and present product development updates to senior leadershipLead continuous improvement for software design and validation processesSupport ASPiCE process integration throughout PACCARAdhere to PACCAR global corporate standards for embedded system development and validationDevelop, manage, and improve Embedded Engineering department procedures and work with the organization to implement enhancementsSupport department staff with training on procedures and processes related to embedded systemsRequiredSills and Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent degreeDesign experience of electrical systems, embedded components, or software systemsExperience leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed organizationExperience in the full lifecycle process for software development using established project management methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, Agile, Iterative)Experience in component product development lifecycle and new product implementationExperience usi
