About the Role:

Manages CRED portfolio risk, tracking financial reporting, Term Loan Reviews, covenants and risk rating approvals. Reports non-compliance on reporting items and covenants to market managers and CRE leadership team. Tracks and manages notice requirements to clients on delinquent items and the associated loan documentation in compliance with policy. Proactively addresses inaccurate or delinquent risk ratings with Underwriters and Analysts to correct errors. Manages Analyst portfolio assignments and portfolio allocation. Provides regular underwriting and risk rating training to Analysts and Underwriters. Provides mentoring and coaching to Analyst team. Leads adoption of new systems and processes for underwriting, risk rating, and credit approvals. Leads monthly UW Update calls to establish and communicate uniform underwriting and analyses across CRED. Responsible for data integrity of portfolio ensuring accurate and timely data entry on core, and within risk rating systems. Track and report past due loans to CRE management team. Leads and/or actively participates with other leaders on projects having broad bank-wide functional impact in line with the Bank's Mission, Strategic Priorities and Key Objectives.

  • Leads post-closing audits to ensure data integrity on core, covenant ticklers, and risk rating system. Establishes on-going processes to ensure data integrity across CreditLens, the core operating system, and internal reporting prepared by CRED.

  • Facilitate an effective credit underwriting and quality control process that ensures uniform and accurate completion of credit authorization in compliance with all Bank policies, guidelines and procedures.

  • Responsible for mentoring and training Analyst team. May be required to lead Credit Analyst internship programs with local university students for the benefit of the bank.

  • Lead and/or participate in projects that have broad impact across lines of business and/or business functions in line with Bank’s Mission, Strategic Priorities and Key Objectives.

  • Develop recommendations to modify, amend, add or delete CRED underwriting, process and procedures to increase efficiency, improve quality and improve speed to market.

  • Partner with Credit Administration, Credit Review and other internal groups (appraisal, environmental, legal/loan documentation) to ensure effective credit approval and portfolio management, including remediation of material audit findings. Serve as liaison to facilitate timely, accurate communication during audits.

  • Serves as key resourcefoAnalysts, Underwriters, Relationship Managers, and Managers for underwriting, risk code rating, credit policy and procedures, andhigh qualityanalysis in credit approvals.

  • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.

  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.

  • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting or equivalent,Required.

  • 10+ years of relevantcommercial real estate lending, loan portfolio management and/or relatedcredit experience,Required.

  • Advanced knowledge and experience managing and directing a timely and effective commercial loan portfolio or underwriting process.

  • Advanced knowledge of credit risk factors and ability to appropriately rate credits.

  • Extensive experience with banking regulations, policies, methods of operation, including internal and external audit processes.

  • Ability to regularly interact with senior management or executive leadership on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions and/or customers.

  • Experience developing, modifying or executing company policies and procedures that affect immediate operations and/or have a company-wide impact.

  • Proven ability to train and present to small and large audiences.

  • Experience directing and influencing the work of others and the ability to build and maintain relationships. Demonstrates a commitment tomotivating, andretaining top talent.

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to concisely propose and or respond to strategic and/or operational priorities of the Bank across lines of business and at various levels of management.

  • Possesses strong computer skills including use of the Microsoft Office suite with the ability to learn new business software, as needed.

We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $97,838.33 - $175,000.00, and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
